10th Annual STD Essay and Poster Contest PDF Print

McKinley Technology Health Education Students participated in the 10th Annual  STD Essay and Poster Contest for sy 2008/2009 and won major awards.  Jordan Prevost won 1st  place in the Poster Contest and Katisha Frederick won 1st Place in the Essay contest.  Kiandra Parker won the 2nd place Essay award and Dominyce Gregory won 3rd place in the Essay contest.   There were a total of 31 students from McKinley  who received honors and award certificates from the Department of Health (DOH) and the Sexually Transmitted Infections Community Coalition (STICC).  These departments work collaboratively with the schools to Promote/Prevent/Protect our young people from the dangers associated with risky behavior and poor decision making. 

Ms. Oliver-McKenzie , Health/Physical Education Teacher was recognized for her continued collaboration with DOH, Metro Teen AIDS and STICC.
